Texas

Texas is a state located in the south-central region of the United States. It is the second largest state by both area and population. The state has a rich cultural heritage influenced by Native American, Spanish, Mexican, and Anglo-American traditions. The state is also famous for its music, cuisine (notably barbecue and Tex-Mex), and a strong sense of regional pride and identity often referred to as “Texan.” Texas was an independent republic before joining the United States in 1845.
