Athens-Clarke County Library is embarking on an ambitious journey towards sustainability with the installation of seven cutting-edge ground-mounted solar panels. This exciting initiative is part of the SPLOST 2020 Project 11 and aims to harness renewable energy for the benefit of the community.On December 13, library visitors will notice some changes as construction begins. A crane will be on-site to facilitate the installation of four solar panels on their supporting poles. In recognition of this construction work, the library will waive any fines on materials due from December 13 to December 15.
